Chiropractic care treats the spine and joints with hands-on adjustments and soft-tissue work, to ease pain and help you move better. Quantum’s chiropractors work alongside our physical therapists in the same location, and new patients are usually seen the same day.

What happens at a chiropractic visit

Your chiropractor first asks about your pain and examines your posture, how your spine and joints move, and the strength and feeling in your arms and legs. If an adjustment is right for you, you usually lie on a padded table while the chiropractor applies a quick, controlled movement to a joint by hand. You may hear a pop. Soft-tissue work and simple exercises often round out the visit. Read what to expect at your first chiropractic consultation.

Tell your chiropractor if you have severe osteoporosis, numbness or loss of strength in an arm or leg, a higher risk of stroke, or a known problem with the bones of your upper neck. In those cases an adjustment may not be the right choice, and other care is used instead.

Chiropractic care and physical therapy, one plan

Adjustments restore motion; physical therapy builds the strength to keep it. Many patients get both, often on the same day, with acupuncture when pain is the main problem.

How chiropractic care is paid for

Chiropractic care for a car accident injury is billed to your No-Fault insurer, and care for an injury on the job, to the workers’ compensation carrier. For anything else, we take health insurance depending on your case, and self-pay.

What types of cases do you accept?

We work with Personal Injury, No-Fault, and Workers’ Compensation cases. We also accept health insurance, depending on your case, and offer self-pay options.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, you will receive an initial evaluation with one of our providers. Your provider will evaluate your condition, discuss your concerns and symptoms, and determine an appropriate treatment plan. You will then remain under your provider’s care throughout your course of treatment.

How many visits will I need?

Every patient and injury is different. The frequency and duration of treatment will depend on your initial evaluation, your condition, your progress, and the treatment plan established by your provider.
